The House Call is dedicated to featuring unique student digs throughout the city of Montreal.
After spending countless hours on sites like The Selby, I was feeling sorry for myself and wishing that some cool, quirky antique furniture would magically appear in my decor-challenged apartment. Seeing as my annual income is about 1/2847429 of the average amount earned by the people featured in these blogs, I thought all hope was lost and that I simply would not be able to live in splendor until the ripe age of 47.
However, upon visiting some apartments of my fellow students, I was shocked by the creativity and style that all of them had to offer. I realized that there was a hidden chest of treasures when it came to student apartments. Many friends I've talked to will go garage sale hopping to hunt for that perfect lamp while some lucky ones will find amazing abandoned furniture on the street. I've started this blog in the hopes that it will inspire those stuck in a decor rut and reassure them that you don't need a black AmEx to get your apartment in tip-top shape.
